How to Check for Early Signs of Kidney Stone

If you family has a medical history of kidney stones it is a good idea to actually do a regular blood test to look for early signs of kidney stones. You can do a once a year or biannually blood test to look for content of uric acid in your bloodstream.

A high content of uric acid in the blood stream may indicate either high consumption of uric acid produces by the body or failure to excrete them out of the body system. Excess uric acid can then form crystals or kidney stones that can damage the kidneys. If you are not careful it can also lead to gout which will be very painful at joints such as ones on the legs and may prevent you from walking.

Normal Uric acid levels in humans body that is considered safe and healthy are 2.4-6.0 mg/dL (female) and 3.4-7.0 mg/dL (male). Above these figures, uric acid formation may occur especially when the blood uric acid level rises above 7 mg/dL.

For some people, this is when they start to experience problems such as kidney stones and gout. Early indication of uric acid can help you to prevent these from occuring.
